Zürich | on-site | preferred start September | ~8h/week during term
We are looking for a hands-on working student to own the preparation behind every roboa field deployment. In this role, you will prepare, assemble, and track the essential hardware for our operations directly in our Zürich workshop, working alongside the engineering team. The position requires approximately 8 hours per week during the term with flexible scheduling around exams, and an ideal start date in September.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, prepare and test the field equipment
- Support small-batch production and module assembly
- Keep the digital inventory and parts tracking current
- Organize workshop storage, tools and consumables
- Run material tests and evaluate results
Requirements & Qualifications
- Studying a technical field (ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Logistics
- Hands-on mindset and good manual dexterity
- Detail-oriented and reliable with repetitive checks
- A startup mindset
- Flexible with working hours and days
- Good working English; German is a plus
- Open to enrolled students with the right to work in Switzerland
Great to have
- Experience with a 3D printer, hand tools or basic shop machines (drill press, dremel, angle grinder or similar).
- Hands-on hobby, student-team or project experience with hardware.
- Interest in robotics, deep-tech and how physical products get built.
